Tracking invoicing for our design clients
We use a seperate application to do our invoicing, however we all take turns with whoever has time to complete invoicing based on the hours and completed work that we keep track of on Monday. We created a special board where we move our completed projects to keep track of invoicing. Has an invoice been created? Was it sent? was it paid? If it is paid it gets moved to a "Paid" board.
Getting started tips
It’s is quite simple to use. We just select all our projects with a status of complete and migrate only the project title column and the hours column to the new Invoicing Template. Once it's been moved you can update the Cost Column and the Invoice Status column. Then the employee can go in an check each. It also gives you an idea of how much you are owed for your not yet billed invoices.
"Tracks invoicing between project completion and invoicing."
Why we love this template
It lets the team manage invoicing of completed work without duplicating work. It is hard to know when a project has been completed, how much time the employee has worked on it and whether or not they have billed for their completed work. This alleviates that and creates transparency between all the ongoing projects between all the employees.
Without this template I would
There was a lot of confusion with our invoicing. Sometimes we would lose out because we would forget to invoice for certain projects, othertimes invoices would get duplicated. We would be working at a much less efficient level without this particular template and would quite possibly be losing more money!
