CRM for microgrid investment company
We work and live in a state known for small world encounters. Business development flourishes in line at the grocery store or on plane rides between Anchorage and Fairbanks. Our ability to enter data and notes on those leads we are pursuing is facilitated by Monday.com. At a startup, everyone is also working such long hours, I frankly can't always recall the action items or current stand of conversations I had with business leads even 10 days ago. The boards dramatically help.
Getting started tips
We formatted columns based on our best thinking about key categories.
We had to adjust some after several weeks of working with it.
We could do more with colors but this makes it easier for me to track progress on sales at a glance. Our junior business development associate and intern use this board, as well as the CEO and COO.

Why we love this template
I love this template because every time I scan down the list, I'm reminded of an opportunity, conversation, or contact I would otherwise have forgotten, or who would have languished overlooked in a database without our attention.
Monday.com is like having a white board on the wall that is constantly refreshed and adjustable, but as clear and visual as that whiteboard.
Without this template I would
Be using a whiteboard, unable to work remotely, and without search function.
I would also still be carrying around a small black notebook labeled Important Numbers.
